Charity during Christmas

I first want to say thanks for those who took place to those who have voted in the poll regarding decorating for Christmas. It seems like most did not decorate for Christmas this year. Please feel free to vote in this new poll that I have posted. I just do it for fun.

It seems like everyone comes "out of the woodwork" to hit you up for money during this time of year. Is it because they know that it is near the end of the year and you are looking for a good tax write off or is it because your heart is tender because of the Christmas Story? I wonder about that sometimes. I tend to give to "charities" that are visible year-round and just don't appear during this time of year. I also check into what they do with their money to make sure that the large amount of money goes to helping people and not to the staff.

The reason why I give is because I think it is the right thing to do. I don't do it to get people off of my back or to make me look good to folks. I don't do it to get a tax write off either. I like helping others. Who knows? I just may need to ask for some help sometime.

I do hope that you will consider helping out a charity of your choice this year.

I'll be writing again soon. I always like hearing from each one of you. Take a moment and leave your comment. Thanks!

I don't often give to charities. I'm suspicious of most wondering just where all that money goes. I think it best to help those closest to our hearts. That's my take on giving. Christmas shouldn't be the only time we show our love to family and friends.
